About me

Andy Davies

Andy Davies, Dee Digital

Dee Digital started off as my pseudonym and online avatar, but soon became a home for my personal and professional portfolio of work, passion projects and blogging. I am a digital media specialist and lecturer from the wonderful city of Chester in the North-west of England. I hold a BSc in Multimedia Technologies and MSc Interactive Digital Media and may be undertaking a PhD in the near future.

I have worked in the digital media field since graduating and originally moved into London to work for a media agency as Graphic Designer and Web Developer. In 2007 I joined the University of Chester and am now a Lecturer in School of Computer Science, Mathematics and Business Computing, specialising in web technologies, interface design and human-computer interaction, web-based video and animation, and digital audio. I also work as Creative Director for The Harlequin Project, an exciting employment initiative for students and graduates, also based at the University of Chester.

I am passionate about DSLR video, animation, photography and audio production and recently gained Apple and Adobe certification in various media authoring packages. I am also in the process of working towards further Adobe certification.

I’ve worked with big organisations, small businesses (and couples!)…
