Chester Mystery Plays

As part of my work with the University of Chester, I will be filming a huge cast for the Chester Mystery Plays this weekend, along with two brilliant graduates. I am contributing much of my own DSLR camera equipment to the production so it will be a really good opportunity for me to develop (and try out new!) production techniques! The 6000 word shot list for this production I have just finished, and I have been on several recces in Chester to ensure we know where the sun will be and where the best shots are!

Your wedding video package includes:

Preparation

We film some of the Bride and Groom preparation during the excitement and anticipation of the special day. Each of you will be allocated a camera operator to capture some beautiful artistic preparation shots.

Guests and reactions

We will capture your guests arriving as they meet, greet and enjoy the day. We like to shoot key locations in and around the ceremony to make a truly dynamic film.

Ceremony

The Ceremony itself is shot with two or more cameras, meaning we can capture all of the romance and key moments as they happen, to achieve an intimate and captivating sequence of shots. We know that audio is just as important, so vows and readings can be recorded with professional wireless lavaliere microphones or close (discreet) shotgun microphones – whichever works best.

Reception & speeches

The reception is where much of the fun begins, for you and for us! We will utilise one or more of the speeches, cutting of the cake and capture all the smiles, laughter and enjoyment during this time. If time during this phase, we are able to shoot some special sequences with Bride and Groom. This adds a very unique and cinematic element to your film, as it as an opportunity for you to be alone with each other and capture some natural (but dramatic!) shots.

The first dance (& evening celebrations)

Another special moment. We typically shoot until 30 minutes after the first dance, but can continue to shoot on request.

Your finished wedding film

Your personalised wedding film (between 10 and 15 minutes) includes all post-production processes, advanced colour grading techniques (to enhance the look of your film), digitally mastered audio, soundtrack(s), bespoke animated titles, and is presented to you on DVD or Blu-ray in a presentational box. You will be provided with high quality web and mobile optimised versions of your film, and we will host it for you so it’ll be ready to share with your friends and family in a click.

We aim to turnaround your film within 4 weeks, but can deliver within shorter timeframes, on request.

Chester Mystery Plays, 2013 (Trailer)

The trailer to the Chester Mystery Plays 2013 is finished and live on the web! It was a frantic few days filming and editing but I’m really happy with the results… A huge thanks to Gareth Rainsforth and Dave Carter for the production assistance, Peter Leslie Wild (Artistic Director of the show) and Chester Cathedral for the “access all areas”!

Intro Animation

University of You

Maxell Europe – Vibrabone Product Launch

A brilliant new product from Maxell Europe! These “skull shaking” ear buds were part of a promotional web campaign in 2012. Along with talented designer Steve Dunnington, we storyboarded and produced a quirky animation to illustrate the power of the headphones… The audio track was completely original and commissioned as part of the project.

Multilingual microsites

I have been hired by Maxell Europe to design and develop a number of microsites since 2008; the most recent web project was a collaboration with WordPress developer Adam Fitzjohn for the MaxellAir campaign, which includes two great wireless products: the Maxell Qi Charging Mat and the Maxell Air Stash. The sites are fully content manageable, available in 13 different languages and based on the brilliant WordPress framework, which I am a huge advocate of.
